Smart home solutions and other Internet of Things applications require high-tech to be confined to the smallest spaces and adapted software solutions to go with them. In the past few years, iesy has gained key skills in the area of power-saving embedded systems. We supply individual hardware and software to major providers with our portfolio ranging from the standard application itself to cloud applications and apps.

Home automation systems must be particularly durable and rugged. Moreover, the hardware used must be available as a whole or in parts for a long time span. An additional requirement is to keep production cost as low as possible to retain a competitive edge in the highly competitive global B2C smart home market. Since iesy is involved in the early stages of the planning and development processes of our customers, we are in a position to design and develop new ideas and various solutions for home automation which appeal to our clients and their end customers both in terms of cost and technology.

The benefits of custom hardware plus specifically tuned, lean and intelligent software helps reduce overhead costs on the one hand and offers time and quality advantages in the development process on the other. Thanks to Embedded Linux, license costs can be saved and necessary drivers can be specifically developed or adapted. Many of our customers are taking advantage of our expertise in user interface design and have us design appealing graphic user interfaces which are implemented using modern web standards like HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. We are known to be experienced in the development of lean and safe cloud solutions with intelligent and flexible APIs as well as in designing and programming native or hybrid apps to control applications.
