Kontron's COMe-bDV7 module is equipped with Intel Atom C3000 processor family processors and offers scalable CPU performance with up to 16 cores. In addition, the COM Express Basic Type 7 module supports up to four 10GbE ports for backplane connectivity (KR), copper (RJ45) or fiber (SFP+) and up to 64GB of ECC DDR4 memory.
The COM Express® module COMe-bDV7, based on the Intel® Atom® processor C3000 series, extends Kontron's family of server-capable COM platforms. The COMe-bDV7 as an entry-level platform can be seen as a supplement to the COMe-bBD7 high-performance class, which is equipped with the Intel® Xeon® D-1500 series. The COMe-bDV7 module offers scalable CPU performance with up to 16 cores. This robust performance combined with support for up to four 10GbE KR ports is ideal for network intensive implementations. The KR design provides maximum flexibility by defining the physical interface - KR for backplane connectivity, copper (RJ45) or fiber (SFP+) on the base board in conjunction with a suitable PHY. In addition, the available NC-Si signals allow a baseboard management controller (BMC) to be connected to the baseboard for out-of-band remote management. This increases reliability and helps reduce the total cost of ownership in general. The COMe-bDV7 module is equipped with the hardware-based Embedded Security Solution APPROTECT.
