The Qseven conga-UMX6 module is the first ultra-compact µQseven-Modul (µQ7) with a size as small as 70 mm x 40 mm. The conga-UMX6 computer-on-module (COM) is equipped with the Freescale i.MX6 ARM Cortex A9 processor family and provides a very sophisticated high-end, 3D-enabled HD graphics interface.
The Qseven conga-UMX6 module will be available in two processor versions: Freescale i.MX6 dual lite ARM Cortex A9 and Freescale i.MX6 dual ARM Cortex A9. The small size of the µQ7 standards 2.0 allows for even more compact applications, driven by Freescale’s very latest i.MX6 family. The integrated graphics core has been designed for multimedia applications with a video processor unit (VPU), 2D and 3D graphics (GPU2D/3D), four shaders with up to 200 mt/s (million triangles/second) and a dual stream of 1080p/720p. Graphics interfaces include dual HDMI v1.4 with the second HDMI Port being used together with LVDS. LVDS is executed in 18/24 bit dual channel at a resolution of up to 1,920x1,200 pixels (WUXGA).
A MicroSD socket may be used for affordable mass storage. Optionally available: Up to 32 gigabyte soldered solid state drive (eMMC) for robust applications. Differential interfaces such as 1x PCI Express 2.0, 5x USB 2.0, gigabit ethernet, 1x SDIO, CAN bus, I²C, SPI and I2S sound are available for use. Optionally, 1x SATA II is available. The conga-UMX6 module is equipped with U-Boot boot loader. Further, it provides features such as MultiWatchdog timer and I²C bus, which makes the application faster and more reliable even if the system is in standby mode. Target markets for this module include medical technologies, automotive industry, industrial automation or very generally manufacturers of mobile and ultra-mobile industrial devices.
