Kontron's Qseven-Q7AL module is equipped with Intel Atom®, Pentium® or Celeron® processors and up to 32GB eMMC 5.0 flash memory onboard, depending on requirements. With the particularly economical and powerful Qseven modules, industrial solutions requiring extended temperature range can easily be realized.

Description

The new, highly scalable Qseven 2.1 module Qseven-Q7AL covers the entire range of Intel's latest IoT-ready embedded processors. It is available with Intel® Atom™ processors E3930 (dual core), E3940 (quad core) and E3950 (quad core) and a maximum of 2.0 GHz. The Thermal Design Power (TDP) ranges between low rates of 6.5W and 12W which is typical for Qseven. Alternatively, the module can be equipped with Intel® Celeron® N3350 (dual core) or Intel® Pentium® N4200 (quad core) processors. These offer 2.4 GHz or 2.5 GHz at 6W TDP each. The module can be equipped with up to 8GB DDR3 memory down (ECC for Atom processors). Up to 32GB eMMC 5.0 flash memory onboard is possible. The Qseven-Q7AL integrates an Intel HD Gfx 9th generation graphics chip. The following interfaces are available: 2x SATA 6Gb/s, 4x PCIe 2.0, 1x serial interface, 1x HD audio, 1x I2S, 1x I2C, 1x SPI, 1x camera interface (2x MIPI CSI), 1x LPC, 1x CAN, 2x USB 3.0 (incl. USB 2.0), 4x USB 2.0 and optionally USB On-the-Go (OTG). It supports the operating systems Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Linux. The Qseven-Q7AL is available for operation between 0° C and 60° C or Qseven-Q7ALi E2 for -40° C to 85° C.

The new Intel Gen 9 HD low-power graphics integrated on the SoC with up to 18 Execution Units provides 4K encode/decode algorithms including HEVC, H.264, VP8/VP9 and MVC. With state-of-the-art image processing and graphics capabilities, the Qseven-Q7AL provides extensive real-time computing power in an energy-efficient and standardized Computer-on-Module form factor. Users benefit from a significantly improved computing performance, an impressive performance-per-watt ratio and the long-term availability inherent in all Kontron embedded solutions. Furthermore an added advantage for developers is the integration of Kontron’s standard hardware-based embedded Security Solution Approtect.
