Mini-STX board with COM Express type 7 made by iesy

The MB129 Mini-STX computer board based on COM Express type 7 offers ultra-compact dimensions, four high-speed Ethernet interfaces, three M.2 sockets and a baseboard management controller for remote control, monitoring and management of BIOS settings via remote access at hardware level.

Description

The server mainboard MB129 closes the gap between Mini-ITX and embedded NUC™ and is an important component for the roll-out of industry 4.0 solutions. While Mini-ITX comes with a footprint of 289 mm², embedded NUC™ boards covers about a third of the area with a footprint of 100 mm². With dimensions of 140 mm × 147 mm and the latest Intel® Xeon® processors, up to four high-speed Ethernet interfaces with 10 GbE each and up to three M.2 sockets, the MB129 offers ideal basic requirements for use as a micro server in an industrial environment.

Another advantage of the Mini-STX form factor is the availability of off-the-shelf components, such as housings that can be used cost-effectively. An example of this is the Akasa Intros Galileo ST Fanless Mini-STX package, which is designed for CPUs with a TDP of up to 35W. In addition, Mini-STX baseboards can be adapted to individual requirements. For example, the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) can be included or omitted. With up to 48 Gigabyte DDR4 RAM and the suitability for Intel® Atom™ and Xeon® processors, the MB129 based on the COM Express type 7 module standard offers a perfect combination of size, energy efficiency and performance for high-end applications on the shop floor.
