Industrial Pico-ITX board by congatec

The conga-PA3 Pico-ITX single board computers using Intel® Atom™ E3800 and Celeron™ processors are particularly powerful and energy-efficient. They come with an extended  temperature range for industrial designs from -40 to +85° Celsius. As an added benefit, they offer various internal as well as external interfaces.

Description

Equipped with Intel Atom E3826 dual core or Intel Atom E3845 quad core, the 64 bit Intel Bay Trail family offers high efficiency levels at a very good price. Affordable and reliable industrial computers based on the Pico-ITX form factor (70 x 102 mm) are particularly popular for industry 4.0: Not only do they work reliably, but also they supply connectivity from field level to control level. Real-time capability and support for various operating systems allow this computer to be used even in sophisticated industrial applications such as machine engineering, automation or control technology. The Intel® Atom™ E3800 processors (Bay Trail) are even fit for use in the extended industrial temperature range. Low power consumption and as little as 5 to 10 watts TDP are convincing features which make the processors particularly suitable for use in passively cooled and encapsulated systems to be deployed in rough environments. Where no powerful graphics and comprehensive 3D capabilities are required and where a max of two independent full HD resolution displays are sufficient, congatec’s Pico-ITX offers a rugged and affordable solution. Typical applications include control tasks in large machines with decentralized, distributed intelligence, robots, all kinds of smart measurement and analysis devices as well as particularly powerful IoT applications with little power consumption.

The 7th generation Intel HD graphics, integrated in the SoC, supports two independent displays with full HD resolution (LVDS 2x24bit via internal socket and DP++, plus HDMI1.4 via I/O panel adapter). DirectX 11.1, Open GL 3.2 and OpenCL 1.2. are supported by hardware or directly accelerated. RAM memory is firmly soldered; depending on the processor, a total of up to 4GB DDR3L-1666 MT/s are available. Further, the I/O panel provides two USB2.0 connections, one RJ-45 socket for 10/100/1000 GB ethernet and one 12V DC power socket. Integrated is another USB2.0 port, one USB3.0 super speed port, one socket for backlight and LVDS, fan control, HDA audio, two serial interfaces (RS232, RS232/485/422), one SATA connection, one half-size mSata/miniPCIe socket and another half size miniPCIe. Various interfaces integrated via feature connector such as ACPI 5.0, I2C bus and LPC bus allow for easy integration of legacy I/O interfaces. Real-time clock (RTC) and Intel high definition audio complement this offer.
